Getting Started

When signing up for your free Keyword Domination report over at IMMembership.com, Lee wanted to know how to get started for free earning some money before he invested in other tools to make it big.

This is a very interesting question, which is why I chose to cover it first.

First and foremost you need to take action. You can only make something if you put something in. There is a saying that you need money to make money, but in the case of online marketing this is slightly different. If you have little or no money to start off you need to make more of an effort and will see less return, but as your returns/profits come in you can invest this in your online business, work less and create more profits.

So, how do I get started for free?

Follow the 9 easy steps to keyword domination laid out in the report at IMMembership.com, but instead of buying a domain and getting hosting you would use web space on someone else’s site.

There are lots of websites that will let you create your own site within their site. These sites rank highly, so if you build your links as you would with a site you owned you should be able to rank highly for your keywords.

Here is a list of just some of the sites available to you (there are loads more, just do a google search for free web space and free websites) …

I hope you found this post helpful. Please let me know your thoughts by posting a comment.

What are you waiting for? Get to it :)

Wordpress Trademarked

I’m not sure if this is a new thing, but from now for sure you cannot use a top level domain nale with wordpress in it. You can own it and have the equivalent ‘wp’ domain that it forwards to and you can also use wordpress in subdomains.

This is a short post today as I think this is an important message to get out. I have two or three domains with wordpress in it, so I will be going through them deciding what to keep and such. You should too.

You can read more about it the official wordpress site.

There are lots of wordpress goodies coming up to with the details of wordpress 2.7 being revealed, so keep your eyes peeled and please comment if you know something :) I did hear of a new theme being included as standard, but more about that tomorrow …

MFA Sites - What Do You Think?

MFA stands for made for adsense.

It seems that there is some money to be made with these types of sites if you target high paying keywords. High paying adsense keywords are the ones that people pay a lot for in adwords, like insurance.

As A Visitor …

I think that if a site is nicely pesented and offers the visitor something of value, like articles or the product they are looking for for sale, then it is ok.

I think that if a site has nothing on it except scraped content and adsense ads is not ok.

I want my sites to go the distance, if you like. I want them to be there offering people value when there is not much else.

When was the last time you searched for information online and found it first time? I can tell you it has been a long while for me.

I just saw a sale for 2 so called adsense sites and 2 so called adsense portals. They were very cheaply priced, under $0.10, but they were exactly the same 2 sites just in two, very slightly, different templates. Now these 2 niches were very highly competitive and it is unlikely that you would get anywhere near the first page with either of the copies of the sites. BUT, what if the sites were in small niches? You could get to the first page by link building etc… but would you actually be offering anything of value?

Something to think about …

As a marketer online I know what the adsense ads are and don’t click them, but most of the world doesn’t know what they are and they click. Does this mean that it is right to ’spam’ them with MFA sites?
