I Think I Am A Wordpressaholic

Hope you had a nice weekend.

You may have noticed, I have changed my theme yet again, I also spent about $200 in paid plugins over the weekend.

This is seriously damaging my profits, but I can’t seem to stay away :)

I just saw the confessions of a shopaholic film and I can kind of relate to her, only mine is online stuff whereas hers is designer clothes. I am usually really good about things and I always ask … Do I Really Need It? I normally answer no and do not buy it, BUT when it comes to wordpress related stuff I tend to say, well yes, I do :D

I think I need to see someone, anyone know a WPAA group (Wordpressaholics Anonymous)?

This logo is actually for a radio station broadcasting from the campus of Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, but it is exactly what I was looking for.

Are you addicted o something? Let me know by posting a comment below.

Why Should I Blog

An excellent question asked by Stephen when he signed up over at IMMembership.com.

I blog as it is a bit like a diary. I love wordpress and want to share my experiences and what I have learnt with others. I have other blogs on other things I am interested in and I write on them when I have something interesting to say on that topic.

I found a blog post that covers the basics of why EVERYONE should be blogging, which you can read about here.

What are you interested in? Are you blogging about it? If not, why not? Do you monetise your site? If not, why not?

As always, please leave your comments below :)

Wordpress Theme Stress

If you have been with me for a while you will know that I am a bit of a Wordpress Junkie, especially when it comes to themes and plugins. I especially like to make my own themes, but it is time consuming and there are now great tools out there that can do it all for you in a few clicks.

I have been trying to finish three themes for the past few months, but there is always something more pressing. So I tested out all the ‘theme making’ software and my favourite is Artisteer. They are having a special on the pro version and at $99 if you like that sort of thing, it is the best I have found so far. It also makes html templates and they promise Joomla is coming soon. I really wish they had an affiliate program, but they have been saying for six months that it is coming, so I have stopped holding my breath :)

While I am trying to find time to play around with my new toy I decided to opt for the Flexibility Theme as the current one is boring me. The flexibility theme is simple and elegant and business like and classy and flexible, which all sound good to me. You can see it in action here and because I like to change things often, now I can all through my admin panel.

What is your favourite theme and why?
