Google And Customisable Search
I have known that Google were testing a way to allow users to customise their searches, voting etc … for a while, I just didn’t think it would be coming our way so soon.
To be honest, I really think that this will help the internet in general and if those of us creating websites create quality sites and content this can only help us. I for one will be happy to get rid of the ‘rubbish’ sites from the SERP’s. Don’t forget, what I think is rubbish, someone else might love
I found this video demo from an Italian guy on YouTube, which is definitely worth a watch …
From what I understand it is only available via Google Chrome and when you are logged into a Google account of some kind. This is because they want to monitor what you choose so thay can adapt their algorithms etc …
I have not downloaded Google Chrome as I already have too many apps on my computer, so am careful what I install. I also love Firefox way too much to let it go just yet
