Google Shows Us The Way To Go

Google have released heir own SEO guide. It is a 22 page easy to read pdf covering the basics of on page SEO.

I think it is a great idea and should help beginners (newbies) with getting their site up without buying this, that and the other (meaning the latest SEO ebook, software or script).

Don’t get me wrong, there are some great products out there, but ‘information overload’ can and will arrive. The people just starting out get it the worst as they search desperately for THE THING that will get them to where they want to go.

My suggestion to everyone would be to start small and build on it …

1) Buy a domain

2) Sort out hosting

3) Create a one page site selling something

4) Drive traffic to the site

5) Learn one thing new

6) Implement that change

7) Drive traffic to the site

Repeat steps 5 to 7 until that site is earning you a steady amount

9) Repeat all steps with a new site.

By the time you reach step 9 you will have learnt a lot and can implement it all straight away in your new site.

Just think, it may take you 6 months to get your first site earning $100 a month, but it will only take you 3 months to do it for the second one and less for the third etc … Within a year you could be earning $500 extra a month.

I know there are lots of people offering you lots of money per month with little effort, but this is just not the case. If you are a fast learner or have some knowledge already you are already ahead of the game.

However, stop chasing the next big thing and put yourself to work. Taking action is the only way to succeed.

Google is giving us this information, which means that this is what they use to look at sites. Implement this if nothing else. You can download it here.
