Viral Marketing Examples (Tips & Tricks Too) - Part 1
Well, I am back from my holiday and as you will have seen, although I did take my laptop with me, I did not get around to using it
I came home to lots of e-mails though and it has taken me a long while to get through them all
Next time I will take my laptop and at least check e-mails.
I am all done now and wanted to get right back to you to let you know about viral marketing. There are many viral marketing examples around if you have been involved for any length of time in the internet marketing world and at the moment there are three clear winners in my eyes.
I will cover the other two in the following parts to this post, so you will have to keep checking back for them or subscribe to the feed so you don’t miss it :), but for today I will use one of them and explain viral marketing in a bit more detail as it seems to be baffling many people.
An example of viral marketing is a rebrandable ebook. The steps to take to do this would be …
1) You create an ebook or short report on something you know a bit about.
2) You make the pdf rebrandable (there are too many tools to count that do this, but I personally recommend ViralPDF)
3) THIS IS WHERE THE CHOICE GETS BIGGER
3a) You sell the original and offer the brandable master resell rights as the one time offer
3b) You give away the original and offer the brandable master resell rights within the ebook/report
3c) You just sell the brandable master resell rights
3d) You just give away the brandable master resell rights
And you’re done.
As you can see this is a very simple way to make something go viral for you and can be applied to whatever your niche may be. It is not limited to ebooks and reports either. If you are techie minded you could create a rebrandable piece of software or a script. I guarantee if you have a niche website and give away the report itself offering the branding rights in there somewhere you are off to a good start and don’t forget to add a few affiliate links here and there that do not get branded (that is the trick part that other people selling brandable rights forget to tell you). The combinations of the above procedure are infinitesimal (did I make that up or spell it correctly, sorry if not) if you use a little bit of imagination.
Viral marketing is a great way to get your name and work out and about and you won’t believe how much it does work. Just look at Mike Filsaime and his new Butterfly Reports website. I promise you he would not put that time and effort in to something that did not work. His website is number 48,480 according to Alexa and this is a website that was not opened all that long ago (you can check the Alexa traffic details here). Mike is someone who locks onto a good thing and focuses on it until completion. If you are new to online marketing or want to get youself onto the viral marketing ladder so to speak sogn up to the Butterfly Reports website for free and check out what he is doing there.
In the next few parts of this post I will show you at least two other people/marketers that are doing this successfully and how they are doing it. Now you know the why it should make sense, but post a comment if you are not sure of something and I will come back to you asap. There will also be some free tools on offer for you (see where I am going with this?)
